The Valterra 2101X Unibody Slide Gate Valve was initially developed for the Pool & Spa Industry to withstand higher pressures compared to bolted versions. Its primary function is to restrain water in Above Ground Pools, Hot Tubs, or Spas during pump maintenance or filter changes, though it serves various other applications. Constructed from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), it features a one-piece UniBody configuration encompassing both the body and fittings.

This slide valve operates effortlessly with a push-pull mechanism, locking securely when closed and equipped with a gate keeper for open positioning. Often referred to as "knife" or "guillotine" gate valves, it is favored in low-pressure scenarios due to its full-flow design and rapid operation, serving as a viable alternative to ball valves.

Its temperature resistance peaks at 167°F (75°C).
